When it comes to a retrospective box-set, nothing beats seeing videos from a company's past. So much old stuff seems to have been lost in the VHS-void prior to DVD. Thrasher stepped up to the plate (although I hate baseball) and hit a home run (I really hate baseball) with the release of their first 18 videos:

This is a phenomenal box set and everyone should own it. Unlike skate companies who have put out anthologies, Thrasher, being a magazine, is not relegated to a select crew of riders. Thrasher knows what skateboarding is all about and they know how to best catch all on film. Unlike many videos with individual rider pats, Thrasher's videos treat you to an onslaught of skateboarding, music and peculiarities they found along the way.

You won't find any bonus footage outside what was originally on the VHS releases, but what the Hell, this whole box-set is a bonus. You won't find more skating at this price from anyone. So go buy your copy NOW!
