Previously unreleased on DVD, Misled Youth, contains new footage and special features. Again, with Jamie Thomas at the helm (filming-wise) he maintains Zero's gritty raw appeal in their second sk8 video. Adding a few new members to the roster - as well as losing a few - didn't seem to stall the precedent they started just 2 years earlier.
Misled Youth strengthened Zero's brand and consumer hold. Advertised heavily, this flick stuck to Thomas' video style and established their team.
If you've never heard of Jud Ferguson (I hadn't either) he fell into sk8 obscurity shortly after filming ended and has surfaced as a tattoo artist in Arkansas. On the other hand, Jamie's part won Transworld's "reader's choice" and "Pro's choice" awards. He seems to have a knack for killing it at all the right times. Or maybe he just kills it all the time.
Micah Mattson suffered several injuries which prevented him from filming for Mislead Youth and he soon began to pursue a career in music - hopefully not as a Sam Goody clerk.
