Of all the insanely unique videos I've seen, this one soars above the best one I can remember. If you're thinking, "How much can you do with a mini ramp?", get ready. There's a diversity in this vid that can't adequately be described.
To replicate the set they filmed on, rent a ramshackle warehouse full of crap - lots of crap! Then drop in a mini ramp, line up your carpentry tools and fire up the arc-welder. You'd have a lot of work ahead of you to replicate the wild stuff they created.
Opening with "Steeler" off of Judas Priest's album British Steel got my attention right away. How often are we treated to some Judas Priest in a sk8 vid? British Steel was the first Judas Priest album I ever bought (actually bought it on vinyl - later replaced on CD). There were a ton of kids at school who had that design painted on the back of their jean jackets. Anyway, Judas Priest rules and was a helluva good choice for the opener to Cheese & Crackers.
This vid is pure skateboarding. Non stop. They don't waste footage showing some guy welding whacky stuff onto the ramp. As the sessions ran, you just began to see more stuff added. Daewon and Chris hit it all with style, energy and rampant sk8-lust. As this vid rolls forward it gets more and more unreal as they take on larger, stranger obstacles that have been added to the ramp. Very reminiscent of the game mousetrap or Rube Goldberg's complex machines.
This redefined what you'll want to see in future videos. It's groundbreaking style and ingenuity sets the bar hight for those wishing they'd thought of this first.
