As much as I like watching the X-Games, it's hard to deny that they stage things to a certain extent as to who they invite, the format and so forth. You won't find that kind of BS at any of the real hardcore skate events - Thrasher wouldn't pull that crap!
But when thinking about head-to-head competition, pornstars lend something to a competition that skateboarding doesn't bring: nudity. There are all sorts of metrics to determine how popular a pro skater is at any given moment, but does anyone think about pornstars in the same competitive manner? Not too often, which is a shame, because hot chicks should frequently battle it out to see whose on top.
It wouldn't be much different from skateboarding. So many of the criteria overlap between pro skaters and pornstars...
