Post-Skateboarding Scarfing Material Recipe
Toasted Nutz
A gluttonous side-dish to scarf while waiting for more beer to arrive. Create these baked-brown balls of cheesey sausage delight. The total prep & cooking time is 45 minutes and makes a ton (about 50) Toasted Nutz.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Original Bisquick mix
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
- ½ teaspoon parsley flakes
- Add barbecue sauce or chili sauce, if desired
Other Stuff You'll Need
- Jelly roll pan, 15½ x 10½ x 2 inch
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Lightly grease bottom and sides of jelly roll pan.
- Stir together all ingredients, using hands or spoon.
- Shape mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Place in pan.
- Chill your balls (the ones you just made) in a refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Cooking
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes (@ 350°) or until brown.
- Immediately remove from pan.
- Serve warm with sauce for dipping.
