Post-Skateboarding Scarfing Material Recipe

Toasted Nutz

A gluttonous side-dish to scarf while waiting for more beer to arrive. Create these baked-brown balls of cheesey sausage delight. The total prep & cooking time is 45 minutes and makes a ton (about 50) Toasted Nutz.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Original Bisquick mix
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
  • ½ teaspoon parsley flakes
  • Add barbecue sauce or chili sauce, if desired

Other Stuff You'll Need

  • Jelly roll pan, 15½ x 10½ x 2 inch

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease bottom and sides of jelly roll pan.
  3. Stir together all ingredients, using hands or spoon.
  4. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls.
  5. Place in pan.
  6. Chill your balls (the ones you just made) in a refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes (@ 350°) or until brown.
  • Immediately remove from pan.
  • Serve warm with sauce for dipping.
