Post-Skateboarding Scarfing Material Recipe
Pipeline Potato & Veggies Melee
The perfect fill-your-gut side-dish for any beefy or fish-like entree. the total cooking time is 40 minutes and serves 4.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. of small red potatoes
- 3 peppers - red, yellow, green (or whatever kind you like)
- 1 Vidalia (sweet yellow) onion
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 packet of dry italian salad dressing
Other Stuff You'll Need
- Large baking pan
- Measuring cup
- Oven capable of cooking at 400° without melting or causing a fire (i.e. - don't use a toaster oven).
Preparation
- Get out a measuring cup and a large baking pan.
- Wash the peppers.
- Wash the red potatoes very well. Potatoes grow in the dirt and often are covered in it. Don't cook up dirt!
- Cut each potato into quarters.
- Core and slice peppers into 1-inch strips.
- Wash the sliced peppers to remove excess seeds and detritus.
- Slice onion into very small pieces.
- Combine the extra virgin olive oil and packet of dry italian salad dressing. Stir with a spoon until blended.
- Jam potatoes, onion and peppers into a mixing bowl and mix ‘em up.
- Dump potatoes, peppers and onion into baking pan.
- Pour oil and dressing mixture all over everything.
- Listen to Black Sabbath.
Cooking
- Pre-heat oven to 400°.
- Place baking pan in the center (vertically) of the oven.
- Set oven timer (watch, sundial... whatever timepiece you have) for 20 minutes.
- Stir contents of pan after 20 minutes.
- Set oven timer for 20 another minutes.
- Remove pan from oven after total cook time of 40 minutes or when a fork easily sinks into a potato.
- Serve.
